Our Story

Our company, now known as Synecticsworld, is an international firm of consultants who specialize in the processes of innovation and the management of change. We have unrivalled experience and expertise in helping people and organizations to use more of their own innate creativity and talent.

We believe everyone has the ability to be creative and to innovate. Such intuitive skills are often suppressed by education, conditioning and misplaced competitiveness.

Our approach to getting work done assumes constructive intent, and recognizes and takes into account the communication problems that can arise, particularly when people from different functions, backgrounds or disciplines need to work together to develop and agree plans for improvement and change.

We participate in projects using our unique consulting process to help organizations use their own people's innate abilities and experience to bring about innovation and change.

• Where We Are From - Pioneering Process

  We derive our inspiration from our continuous process of research and development, begun over 50 years ago when Synectics was founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts by a group whose task was to develop solutions for the clients of the consultancy, Arthur D. Little.

  Through detailed study of the problem solving and decision making dynamics in organizations, first using audio tape and, when it became available, video tape, enabled our founders to begin to refine specific techniques to facilitate more effective decision making, invention and creative problem solving, cross functional communication and collaborative group work.

  Our methods have not been "invented" in the accepted sense. They are derived from observation of how people work together when they are being effective. Through our action research we have developed and refined a process, which consciously replicates the techniques used spontaneously and naturally by the great inventors and successful entrepreneurs.

  Today, the techniques we have developed supporting creative problem solving, communication skills and teamwork form the basis of our consulting approach. The application of our techniques has taken us into all spheres of management policy making and implementation.

  Our hallmarks are our bespoke designs to address the unique issues and opportunities facing our clients, along with a flexible and open-minded approach. We offer unique and custom designed approaches, within a framework focused on developing business ideas that, working in collaboration with our clients, leads to breakthrough ideas with a powerful commitment to implementation.

Our approach to Process Consulting addresses open-ended tasks where there is no "right" or accepted solution, introducing structured approaches in task initiation, planning, creative problem solving, decision-making and implementation.

Our clients provide the content expertise, while Synecticsworld provides the expertise on the process of collaborative problem solving and decision-making.
